2019-10-08: Fall colors in Santa Fe National Forest
In the Santa Fe National Forest these deciduous trees and bushes grew in an opening in the middle of a pine forest. Such openings are often the result of large evergreens collapsing on surrounding vegetation because of natural death, lightning strike, or strong winds.
