2020-12-13-5:00 pm: Winter sunset turns sky and Sangre de Cristo Mountains purple
Even after the sun has set below the Jemez Mountains, light reflected in a hazy sky continues to illuminate the Sangre de Cristos east of Santa Fe. The foothills are deep in darkness. The sky turned orange and purple. The mountains and foothills are a mixture of white, pink, greenish and purple hues. The evening colors change from one minute to the next. This is illustrated in this Gallery by several images taken only a few minutes apart.
