2020-12-13-4:37 pm: Setting sun gives reddish brown color to Sangre de Cristos near Santa Fe
For only a few minutes the setting sun turned both mountains and foothills into an unusual reddish-brown color. Tesuque Peak, at the top of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, is dominated by a cluster of electronic communication antennas. On the side of the mountain are the slopes of the Santa Fe Ski Resort. To the left is the Santa Fe Mount Baldy. Several Sangre de Cristo Mountain tops, all characterized by lack of vegetation, are called Mount Baldy. The next three images show how quickly light changes in the Santa Fe sky.
