2019-08-06: Palace of the Governors on a hot summer afternoon
Early in the afternoon of a hot summer day the Monsoon clouds are building up, a sign of rain to come. The Palace of the Governors, facing the Santa Fe Plaza, is arguably the most famous best-known adobe building in Santa Fe. The original Palace was built in 1610 by Pedro de Peralta, governor of the Nuevo Mexico Spanish colony. Many renovations have taken place over the centuries. The building is now open to the public as a museum.
